Since Instagram is so popular right now, I decided to put together a 22-day series of quick educational posts.
For the next 22 days I will post a quick video or photo that will cover various topics; from fitness to nutrition to living a healthy lifestyle.
The goal is to share some fitness and wellness information that will help you with your health-related goals.
DAY 19 OF 22
Today’s post is about Smoking.
Sadly, I still see way too much smoking here. The horrible effects on your body are endless and I could list pages of research and proof. You will never be truly healthy if you continue to smoke. If you are a smoker, here are a couple strategies to consider. Today.
Tip 1: We are more apt to complete a goal if we share it with people. Family, friends, co-workers are all examples of a great support team.
Tip 2: Having a definite date one or two weeks away will help you focus and stick to the ultimate goal.
Tip 3: Throw out all cigarettes as well as anything else related to smoking; ashtrays and lighters for example.
Tip 4: Post these reasons somewhere you will see them everyday…like your bathroom mirror for example. A consistent reminder is great motivation.
Tip 5: When you have an urge to smoke, do something else so you don’t tempt fate. Go for a walk, call a friend, grab a healthy snack.
Tip 6: Ask a fellow smoking friend to quit with you to help motivate each other.
Tip 7: This will help with cravings and keep your mouth “busy” if you get an urge.
Tip 8: Smoking negatively affects just about every organ in your body. Period.
