Since Instagram is so popular right now, I decided to put together a 22-day series of quick educational posts.
For the next 22 days I will post a quick video or photo that will cover various topics; from fitness to nutrition to living a healthy lifestyle.
The goal is to share some fitness and wellness information that will help you with your health-related goals.
DAY 7 OF 22
Today’s post is about Upper Body Push.
With all the equipment options available today, there are literally thousands of exercise variations to be done. This is simply a short list of some of our favorites.
You can split your upper body pushing movements up in a couple ways:
Unilateral & Bilateral – simply means using one arm or two
Vertical & Horizontal – refers to the line of pull…are you pushing vertically or horizontally?
Common vertical – Handstand variations: pushups, walks, holds, Overhead Presses (DB, KB, Barbell, Machine)
Common horizontal - Pushup variations, Chest Presses (DB, Barbell, Machine) For a well-rounded routine, incorporate all of these variations into your programming.
1. Bar chest press
2. OH press
4. 1-arm chest press
5. Handstand pushup
Please share this post or tag anyone who you feel would benefit from this content. Thanks.
