I love learning. “Once you stop learning you starting dying” – Einstein. Learning comes in all shapes and sizes…workshops, books, online, DVDs, etc. And people learn differently; some are visual, some are audible, you get the idea. For the most part, I’m a learn-by-doing kind of guy. I like to get my hands on it and experience it for myself firsthand.

For this hands on experience, attending workshops and conferences will always be my first choice. Sadly, there weren’t a bunch of Perform Better events out there in Saudi Arabia. I was lucky enough to attend a couple workshops in Europe so I was able to get to some live events despite living in the Middle East.

Podcasts To The Rescue
I’m always on the quest for knowledge so I turned to another avenue for learning…podcasts. I’ve listened to them now and then for years but I really got into them in 2014. Of course I utilize other tools – I read books, websites, newsletters, I watch DVDs, online resources, and certain Youtube channels. But the podcasts have been great for me this past year; at one point I had nearly 15 fitness/nutrition-related podcasts on my phone. I’ve cut that down a bit and I wanted to share with you my current top 5. These are podcasts that I subscribe to and listen to every week. I trained a number of my female clients (the gym we opened is male-only) at their homes so I did quite a bit of driving. This allowed me to utilize that driving time to learn. If you’re someone with a daily commute or has to drive frequently, take advantage of that time to be productive by listening to some educational content. A smart way to multi-task and learn.

Here are my current top 5 in no particular order.
