News flash – people sit far too long. This sedentary lifestyle leads to imbalances, postural issues, injuries, weight gain, death…sorry, getting carried away.

The purpose of this quick piece isn’t to discuss all that is wrong with sitting. It’s more to show you a couple tips to help combat the evils of poor posture. If getting a stand up desk at work isn’t an option (look into it with your HR department), then make sure you get some movement scheduled into your busy day. You don’t have to leave the office for an hour to drive to the local gym to get your workout in. In fact, you don’t even have to leave your office. 5-10 minutes of stretches and movement can go a long way if you stay consistent with it.
