More specifically, this is an 8-week resistance training, cardiovascular training, and nutrition plan I have used with many of my clients and professional MMA athletes. I have been working closely with combat athletes for a number of years and this is the system I have developed along the way. It is constantly evolving, however, the template here will get you stronger, faster, less injury prone, eating better, and get you the results you want. Currently, I use this training system with the Alliance MMA fight team in San Diego, CA. In 2012, I was able to implement the DB Strength system in to the training on the “Ultimate Fighter Live” FOX TV show where I was an assistant coach alongside UFC champion Dominick Cruz. I also followed the plan myself and got some great results!

Why “8 Weeks To Elite”? Let’s look at the definition of elite –> “A group of people considered to be the best in a particular category”. For this program, the category we are referring to is YOU. This program includes 8 weeks of detailed training routines along with nutrition content to help you reach your goals. A grocery list, weekly meal samples, and nutritional tips to use in conjunction with your training program. All told, this book is over 90 pages of content.
The 8-week training program is broken up into 2 phases to allow for proper progressions and you can print out each day if you’d like to make it easier to follow along. Every exercise is shown in password protected videos that you’ll have access to once you download the material.
I’ve used this template with “general population” clients, professional athletes, and even myself. Adjustments were made based on goals, limitations, and schedule, however, the basic structure is all here. Take a closer look at this program and get started on becoming the best YOU today!

About the Author
DOUG BALZARINI – FOUNDER Doug has been in the fitness industry for the past 14 years. He is originally from Massachusetts where he earned his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and had his first personal training job. He moved to San Diego in 2000 and worked for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for 5 years before starting his career at Fitness Quest 10 as a personal trainer and strength coach. He was there from 2005 to 2011 and worked with clients of all ages and abilities. Since being in San Diego he has completed some graduate work in Biomechanics at San Diego State University, competed in multiple grappling tournaments, and has earned multiple certifications.
This is an 8-week template that you can implement today and get stronger, faster, less injury prone, eating better, and get you the results you want. Take action. Pick 4 days during the week that work best with your schedule and get your sessions in. No excuses. Schedule 1-2 days during the week (I use Sunday & Wednesday) to prep some meals so they are ready to go for the next couple days. No excuses. After the 8 weeks are complete, make sure you re-test and re-measure all your baseline numbers so you can see your improvements on paper. Measurement equals motivation. You can take a couple days or a week off and then start the program back up again as is, or make some simple changes such as switching the days around or changing up a couple of the movements. As long as you keep the general template, positive things will happen. Take action.
